Matthew Alexander Tracy is a sophomore pre-business and computer science minor student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Matthew has always loved helping others and making a difference in the community you live in after watching his mom 'walk the walk'. He is really excited to bring his passion and excitement of service and leadership to the local UNC community! His favorite things to do outside of CUC are to spend time with his family and friends, being active outside playing sports, and learning new things.
Christopher Đức Nguyễn is currently a sophomore in the joint program of Biomedical and Health Sciences Engineering at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and North Carolina State University studying rehabilitation with a double minor in Chemistry and Neuroscience. Growing up with older and younger siblings, Christopherunderstands the importance of both having and being a role model for children to learn from. His passion for helping children and others is what Cooking Up Character is all about! He is eager to spread this enthusiasm to Chapel Hill and connect with the local community. Outside of CUC, Christopher is involved in adapting toys for handicapped children and leading intramural sports teams. He enjoys outdoor activities and hanging out with his friends and family.
Nicole Maria Schroder is a sophomore at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill pursuing a double major in advertising/public relations and public policy, and working toward a minor in German. Nicole sees herself as a strong communicator and storyteller, always finding ways to connect with others, hear their backgrounds, and share their stories. She understands the fundamental role service plays in bringing people together and would like to use her interests in communications, service, and leadership to contribute to the local community in more ways than one. In her free time, Nicole enjoys laughing with her friends, hiking outdoors, exercising, listening to music, and playing the piano.
Edward Dean Baker is currently a sophomore Computer Science major and Russian minor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is also a student in the Russian Flagship Program.As an Eagle Scout, Edward knows exactly what it means to give back to his community. He understands that sometimes it’s the little things that matter most to someone in need and that every small act of kindness can make different leadership skills to the UNC community.Outside of CUC Edward enjoys speaking Russian with his friends and spending time outdoors. He also plays multiple instruments and is an avid runner.
“Chi” is an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at UNC’s Entrepreneurship Center, currently serving as co-founder and CEO of GameFlo, an indie gaming company building communities by empowering people on their own terms and to their own abilities. After obtaining his B.A. in Economics from Brown University in 2010, Chi worked at JPMorgan before making the transition to sports technology as the Assistant CFO for Bloomberg Sports (named one of the “Ten Most Innovative Companies in Sports” by Fast Company in 2011). Since then, Chi has worn numerous professional hats in sports ranging from TV analyst and producer to CFO of Brooklyn-based startup Ballstar. Chi is a 2018 MBA graduate of UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School and was awarded the Alumni Pioneer Award in 2020 for his work within the UNC community and beyond. Chi is an avid New York sports fan, bass guitarist and proud uncle of 7!
